Admissions
Admissions, at DPS Gwalior, are purely based on written test followed by an interaction session with the child considering the age factor as necessary requirement.
Age Criteria
The age of the child as on 01st April 2012 will determine the eligibility for admission to particular class.
Age requirement for the classes is as under:-
Nursery - 3 +
LKG - 4+
UKG - 5+
I - 6+
II - 7+
III - 8+
IV - 9+
V - 10+
VI - 11+
VII - 12+
VIII - 13+
IX - 14+
X - 15+
XI - 16+
Registration and admission for classes Nursery & Prep.
Admission to Classes Nursery to UKG will be granted on the basis of registration forms. The Registration form, duly filled in all respect, should be submitted to the school office on or before the last date of submission for registration forms. No observation/ interaction of the child or parents will be required at this stage. After the scrutiny of the registration forms, the parents will be informed about the selection of their ward through our City Administrative Office and will be asked to complete the steps of admission formalities by depositing the required fee and all other charges along with the necessary documents. The school reserves its exclusive right to select or reject the child on the basis of registration form submitted and not to give any reason for rejection.
It is expected of the parents that they will put in the correct date of birth and all other information about the child
Steps for Registration and Admission for Class I onwards
1 Admission to Classes I to IX & XI will be subject to availability of seats.
2 The Registration form, duly filled in all respect, should be submitted to the school office within 03 days of collection the form.
3 After scrutinizing the Registration forms the parents will be informed about a written test date for their ward / wards.
4 The written test will be followed by an interaction session, dates of which will be displayed with the results of written test. Both the parents must be present in the school campus on the day of the test and interaction. The entire procedure may last upto three hours, and hence, parents are advised to plan their schedules accordingly.
5 List of successful candidates will be displayed at Punjab National Bank, Jayendraganj Branch & at school gate within a day after the written test and interaction process get over. Parents will also be informed over the telephone.
6 The parents of the successful candidates will be required to complete the admission formalities by depositing the required fees and other charges along with the submission of necessary documents within the date prescribed.
Points to be noted for the purpose of Registration
1 Photocopy of date of birth certificate from Municipal Corporation is required at the point of Registration.
2 The Registration Form is not transferable
3 The Registration form issued by the school should be used for the purpose of registration of your child. No photocopies of the Registration form will be allowed.
4 Parents are requested to go through this Prospectus-cum- Admission Information booklet carefully before filling the Registration Form and sign where ever required.
5 Incomplete or illegible Registration Form will not be accepted.
6 The applications will be scrutinised and only those found complete in all respect will be selected for Observation/Written Test. Intimation of the exact date and time of the test, along with the Admit Card will be provided at the time of submitting the Registration Form.
7 Applying for registration/admission does not imply direct admission.
Documents to be submitted at the time of Admission
1 School leaving/transfer certificate and last Report Card, in originals. Counter signed school leaving certificate for students applying for admission to class VI onwards attested by concerned educational department.
2 Medical Certificate from a registered Medical Practitioner.
3 Municipal Birth Certificate, (Xerox copy) for all classes.
4 Two recent passport size colour photographs of the child and one each of both parents.
Note: Admission will be cancelled if any variance or misrepresentation is found between the particulars filled in the Registration Form and the supporting documents at any stage. In such case, only the security deposit will be refunded.

FEE RULES
The Fee is charged for One Session of 11 months in Four
Quarters. The last date for payment of Fee shall be 10
April 2012, 10 July 2012, 10 October 2012 & 10 January
2013 for the academic session 2012-2013.
The Fee can be paid in
lump sum for the whole session by availing a discount of
5% on tuition fees provided it is paid before June 30,
2012.
The Fees can be
deposited either at School or any branch of ICICI Bank Ltd
during working days.
No post-dated/
outstation Cheques are acceptable.
Kindly mention clearly
the Name of Student, Class, Section on the reverse side of
Cheque/DD/ Pay order.
In case of Cheque
dishonour/return by the Bank for any reason, a penalty of
Rs.500/- has to be paid by the parent along with Fees in
Cash only at the Accounts office in the school.
LATE FEES CHARGES-
a) Rs.10/- per day (After 10 th
of respective quarter till 20th of the month)
b) Rs.50/- per day (21 st
onwards till whole Fee is deposited)
